It has been 4 weeks and no games – life has been busy. However I have been able to lay down the first layers of paint for some of the models and primed the whole army minues the endless spells and Loonshrine.
Alas, point changes have occurred and they are very favourable!! It looks like we have sneaked under the radar and recieved only buffs.
KRAGNOS -100 points
SPORESPLATTA FANATICS -10 points
GOBBAPALOOZA unchanged
This is huge! now we have spare points to manipulate the list. There are many options but we are also limited by the fact that we have used up every unit slot in each regiment already and can only reinforce the fanatics… Below are the potential options.
Loonboss swap out for Skragrott
Loonboss swap out for a Loonboss on Mangler
Reinforce the Sporesplatters
Add a Rabble Rowza (run and charge KRAGNOS)
Drop a Gobbapalooza unit to fit in something else: 40 shootas or squigs
I chose to drop a Gobbapalooza unit (even though they are THE BEST unit in the faction) and bring in a Squig Boss and a reinforced units of Squigs. Trading some tech for a punch! Now we are a 3 drop army – but we don’t really care – our turn one/two has gobbapalooza protecting the army on a double.
We also can now reshuffle most units to be outside of the General’s Regiment.

Manifestation lore has changed due to the FAQ as well. The new spells allow for more mobility with now three ways to teleport in the army (all being related to casting spells)
HOBBY TIME

I completed one entire Gobbapalooza!! I did take progress photos and may upload them another time. I am habby with the vibrancy and LOVE the way the shroom looks.

Scaremonger had some color placing done. I try to stay true to some form of the original colors but take liberty to get more vibrancy and expression in the scheme. This allows me to paint faster as well – I can go through my techniques in another post maybe in the future.

Zarbag will a Gobbapalooza in one the ‘other’ units. His skin is not completed, and his eye needs redoing. However, this project is supposed to involve no perfectism and aim for speed, so I will ignore the itch to add to these parts and just keep on moving on to unpainted areas.

Here is the family shot – before the rest of the models were sprayed black! I do have some already painted stabbas from years back which will probably remain untouched – to honor the past!
Now I just need to add another 20 squigs…

And.. finally, I started to punch in the skin for Kragnos which I am loving as well. He is the focus for the army and will require the most effort, time and thought into how he looks.
