Bad Moon Loonshrine

This list excites me because the loonboss, gobbapalooza and fanatics were the very first Age of Sigmar models I bought. On the outset, the list looks odd and does not fit the traditional look to most AoS lists.

The idea of the list is to use Kragnos as that fast hammer that Gitz are mostly lacking and having multiple pseudo-tanky screens in gobbapalooza and a block of 40 stabbas.

Gobbapalooza will be trying to engage whilst having their +4 or +5 wards active in the opening 2 battle rounds, their -1 to hit aura spell and debuffing the opponent (making units not be able to use command points).

The block of 40 stabbas are receiving many buffs making them durable and in the right situation, punchy. They can be buffed with abilities for 5+ ward, +1 or +2 attacks, -1 rend, +1 wound. I can also bring back d6 on a hero phase ability before attemping a rally. They can then dish out -1 to hit to infantry in combat and can be -1 to hit from the Gitz spell. They can also charge 3d6 if wholly within 12″ of Kragnos too.

An obvious weakness to the list is that of losing Kragnos can be fatal to damage output and threat projection across the board. Potent shooting units will be hurting him and giving this list a hard time. Kragnos can use obscuring terrain to be hidden (yes, he doesn’t have the FLY keyword which is the only restriction now) and he can be teleported with Hand of Gork. That is a big threat. 3d6 charge at 9″.

The manifestation lore is picked because of the chronomatic cogs, which will make all wizards (aka: Gobbapalooza) -1 to hit. The pendulum has tech with movement in opponent movement phase as well.

The aim of the next few games will be to ensure we are getting all the rules working smoothly, able to work out what battle tactics sequencing works and to gain an understanding of the tempo this list prefers.
